Mid-Autumn Festival
Students celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival through classroom activities, family lantern-making, cultural games, and hands-on experiences. They explored the traditions of Mid-Autumn Festival and Chinese culture while building connections through play, discovery and shared experiences.
This year, our school celebrated Mid-Autumn Festival with the theme "Full Moon, Loving Hearts: Growing Beyond Together."
Students explored the legend of Hou Yi and Chang'e through CCE lessons and a Penmanship Competition featuring traditional Chinese poetry. Additionally, P1 and P2 students took part in a family Lantern-Making Competition using recycled materials, creating beautiful memories together.
The highlight was our Mid-Autumn Recess Activities, organised by our Parent Support Group (PSG) and Mother Tongue Languages (MTL) teachers. Students journeyed through four mythology-themed game booths, earning stamps for a chance to win a special gift.
Beyond the games, students experienced Chinese culture through a mooncake demonstration and a tea appreciation session — for many, a first and memorable encounter.
It was heartening to see students from diverse backgrounds learning, discovering and celebrating together. Through every activity, we hoped to nurture curiosity, deepen cultural appreciation and strengthen the bonds that make our school community special.
